Fit for every occasion, Levi’s Trucker Jacket with Jacquard by Google comes in four styles to choose from. Each jacket is designed with Jacquard technology built-in, so you are in control, and stay connected without looking at your screen.
The smart jacket, which does not look different from an ordinary denim jacket from the outside, allows the user to easily perform actions such as playing and stopping music, getting directions from the phone aloud and reading incoming messages without physically interacting with the phone. In addition, users can assign different features to various hand and arm movements through to the mobile application developed specifically for the jacket.
A touch sensitive smart fabric developed within the scope of the Jacquard project was used in the production of the wrist part of the smart jacket. This is the main part that makes the jacket smart. All operations that the jacket allows the user to do, are carried out with a special label on this wrist. Also, the wrist part of the jacket provides haptic feedback to the user and there is an LED light for notifications.
Besides all that, there is an interesting detail about this smart denim jacket. According to the statement, this jacket can be washed only 10 times. After washing 10 times, the smart fabric used to make the jacket loses its feature and the jacket turns into an ordinary denim jacket.
