What is Packtech?

Packaging textiles include industrial textiles, agricultural and other products. Since the demand for packaging materials is both national and international production and distribution of products, economic growth is directly proportional to industrial production and trade. The increasing need for reusable packaging and boxes creates new opportunities in the market for textile products.

Traditional bags made of jute, cotton or natural fibers, increasingly being produced from modern synthetic fibers. These technical textiles used in packaging and subsequent transportation processes are called "Packtech".

It is well known that most of these packagings are ideal for the type of packaging. It includes high-weight and densely woven fabrics on the one hand, and low-weight nonwovens on the other.

The textile materials used in the packaging of consumer goods are as follows:

  • Big bags for powder and granular substances

  • Laundry bags and other packaging products

  • Bags for storage, etc.

  • Ropes for tying packages (except for agricultural applications)

  • Non-paper tea bags and coffee filters

  • Food storage bags

  • Nets for packaging, transporting, storing products such as toys and food

  • Woven slings, low weight mailing envelopes

  • Soft suitcases.

Polyolefin Tissue Bags: Our daily favorite packaging is textile polyolefin (HDPE/PP) woven sacks and leno sacks. It has a very wide use in the plans of sugar, flour, plant toys, animal feed and various chemicals. It has high strength, light structure, low leakage feature, moisture protection feature, long life and cheapness

Big Bag Sacks: Also known as jumbo bag or FIBC. FIBC stands for Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers. Thanks to their larger volume than woven sacks, they are extremely useful for transporting and storing large piles. It is widely used in the packaging of polymers, various chemicals, agricultural products. While the tube can be woven (round) or flat, the carrying capacity varies according to the need, and there are those with a loading capacity of up to 4000 kg. If necessary, the sack fabric can be covered. For example, antistatic coating is widely used.

Leno Bags: Leno sacks can contain potatoes, onions, garlic, lemons, etc. It is widely used in packaging, transportation and preservation of products. Its strength and air-permeable structure have made Leno sacks important. This feature allows the food to be stored and transported without spoiling.

Wrapping Packaging Materials: Textile wrapping packaging materials produced from synthetic and natural fibers that have various properties according to their use are widely used in various sectors. The packaging material is usually packaged in rolls and packaging can be carried out by means of an automatic machine

Jute Cloth and Jute Sacks: Jute cloths; It is widely used in bags, wrapping packaging material and wall coverings and packaging of all kinds of products. Jute sacks are used especially in the packaging of agricultural products. The air permeability of jute fabric provides an advantage in the storage of agricultural products

Tea-Coffee Bags: Tea-coffee bags consist of a filter with a thread attached on it. It is produced from wood and plant fibers after being processed by various methods

Suitcases and Bags: Soft suitcases are usually made of nylon and polyester woven fabrics. When it comes to soft suitcases in packaging textiles; handbags, backpacks, wallets, briefcases, etc. products come to mind. Suitcase fabrics must be resistant to dirt, abrasion, water and tearing. Various finishing and coating processes can be done to give the suitcase and bag fabrics the necessary physical properties.
